For the last year the London Leadership Academy has been working meticulously to support the creation of 6 Talent Management Communities of Practice (CoP). Communities of Practice are where people with a passion for practice go to manage and share knowledge around a domain that is important to them. Those who identify themselves as members of a community make a commitment to take responsibility for that area of expertise and in collaboration with their fellow community members, work to improve the practice of that domain.
For this initiative to work, we have facilitated various training programmes to ensure our conveners are properly equipped to run their individual communities. The idea is to expose Talent Management practitioners to a new and effective way of working which we hope will help shape the thinking of their organisations and ultimately lead them to implementing a Talent Management culture.
