This course will introduce delegates to a “human-centred approach” to managing diversity in a way that is fair and inclusive, and help delegates to maintain professional standards by giving them a clear legal framework.
More specifically, the workshop will focus on the challenges of building, supporting and managing a diverse workforce with the complex attributes that make us human – such as age, culture, ethnicity, faith, gender and sexual orientation.
The objectives of this event are to:
- Help you to get to grips with the complexity, and often controversial nature of addressing equality and human rights
- Give you a better understanding of the hierarchy of rights and entitlements between staff, patients and colleagues in a diverse workplace
- Introduce you to the human-centred approach that will help you to maintain or raise professional standards
- Provide you with useful advice and tools that you can apply immediately in the NHS
