SUMMARY:FINDING YOUR VOICE
DESCRIPTION:How coaches\, mentors and facilitators can support workplace conversation \nOver the past five years\, the NHS Leadership Academy – London has supported an extensive programme of work on speaking up and listening up in the workplace. Alongside this\, of course\, we have enabled NHS staff to become accredited coaches\, mentors and facilitators\, so that they are then able to work with other people across the service to support them in their development. \nAfter 18 months of the pandemic\, we are even more mindful of the significance of voice in organisations. To this end\, we are convening this meeting for people who have come through one of our programmes to come together to explore the role that voice plays in their practice – and the ways in which that practice can be enhanced to work on the issue of voice better. \nThe event will run virtually via MS Teams on 9 March 2022 from 1pm – 3.30pm. We are delighted to advise that we will be joined for a keynote presentation by Henrietta Hughes\, who was until recently the Freedom To Speak Up National Guardian. She will offer some reflections on her time in that role – and some suggestions as to the work that remains outstanding. \nWe are also excited to be able to offer a number of breakout sessions\, covering topics such as the voice of the user or client and the practicalities of voice;. And\, not least because this is an event about voice\, we will be inviting participants to speak about their experiences in this respect and their fresh thinking about how our practice can foreground voice and give people the confidence to speak. \nWe are actively inviting all coaches\, mentors\, action learning set facilitators\, and anyone else across health and social care who works in conversation with others to support their development to join us for this opportunity to explore the topic and expand our thinking and practice in light of that inquiry. \nPlease complete the form below to register a place. \nSorry. This form is no longer accepting new submissions.

SUMMARY:Coaches CPD - Ethical Dilemmas in Coaching
DESCRIPTION:Target Audience:  Coaches on London Leadership Academy Register \nAs coaches we are rightly bound by values and ethics – we may subscribe to an ethical code of practice such as those set out by the EMCC or the ICF.  These typically cover issues such as acting with integrity\, maintaining confidentiality\, acting responsibly\, avoiding conflicts of interest etc.  It is easy to assume that these provide a solid and comprehensive underlying set of norms to guide us through any or all of the coaching situations we face. \nWith emerging ethical dilemma’s and issues such as VCOD what do people do when their ethical code or values do not provide answers?  People may face moments of dilemma in which the answer is neither clear nor absolute.  An ethical dilemma is a problem in the decision-making process between different courses of action\, neither of which may be acceptable from an ethical / values-based perspective.  The biggest challenge of an ethical dilemma is that it may not offer an obvious solution – yet people must make a decision about which course of action is best. \nIn this half day event we will explore ethical dilemmas in relation to coaching: \n\nWhat they might look like\nWhat experiences participants may have had\nA six-step process for how we can deal with ethical dilemmas and their potential impact\n\nExpectation of coaches participating in this CPD:  \nWe would like to invite participants to be part of a pool of ethical coaches on the London Coaching Register if there is need to call on your expertise. \nYour booking is not confirmed until you have received a confirmation email. Joining instructions will be sent as soon as your booking is confirmed. \nPlatform: MS Teams – Joining instructions TBC \nBooking Closing Date: Sunday 6th March 2022 \nIf you do not attend without giving us 5 days’ notice a non-attendance fee will be charged according to our terms and conditions. \nTo make cancellations email Jake.Cutting@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk. LLLL will send confirmation of your cancellation by email. \nTo register your place please complete the form below: \n\n\n \n Coaches CPD - Ethical Dilemmas in Coaching 17/03/2022\n Please complete this form to register a place on this CPD Workshop. \n \n Participant DetailsFull Name:*Email:*Telephone number:*Your current role:*Organisation*ICS you are based in:*North East LondonNorth West LondonNorth Central LondonSouth West LondonSouth East LondonRegion:*LondonSouth East EnglandEast of EnglandMidlandsNorth East EnglandNorth West EnglandOtherAny other comments:Please indicate any additional requirements or comments.Form Questions1. SUMMARY:Virtual Action Learning Set (VALS) Community of Practice (COP) Supervision
DESCRIPTION:VALS COP Supervision \nVirtual Action Learning Set (VALS) Community of Practice (COP) Supervision \nOur aim is to build a community of practice who work together to support each other\, continue personal development in ALS facilitation and protect the quality of AL being experienced by health and social care staff. \nAs with coaching\, facilitators work as individuals using their own skills\, experience and presence as the catalyst for others’ learning. Group supervision gives us the opportunity to reflect on our experiences\, learn from others and ask questions to ensure that we are developing the best AL facilitation practice. \nThe supervision sessions will be offered throughout the year and will work with a maximum group of 8 so that there can be full involvement of all. We ask those attending to prepare by reviewing their recent experiences or future opportunities in ALS facilitation and prepare a question that can be discussed with the supervisor and explored with the whole group. It may be around a particular session or a theme that is showing up as a pattern across a series of ALS. \nIt is a confidential\, non-judgemental space where we all learn from the reflective practice about our different experiences. \nYour booking is not confirmed until you have received a confirmation email. Joining instructions will be sent as soon as your booking is confirmed. \nPlatform: Zoom  – Joining instructions TBC \nplease note that London Workforce Colleagues will take preference over the spaces available.
