DESCRIPTION:Fit for the Future – developing your coaching skills in an appraisal setting\n23rd February 2023 \n9 – 12.30pm \n  \nThis is the second of our webinar opportunities for GP Appraisers in the London Region\, where we are connecting experienced Appraisers together to develop your skills as well as create capacity within the system to share your experiences and learning with others. It is designed with 2 key objectives: \n\nTo provide ongoing development of GP Appraisers and build the support network in the region\nTo equip the group with knowledge\, skills and resources to run a similar session with further GP Appraiser colleagues within the ICS groups\n\nThe content of the session will look at:\n\nThe structure of the ‘Fit for the Future’ appraisal framework\nThe type of conversation needed within this framework being conversational\, and coaching led\nExploring and developing the use of coaching within the appraisal – using tools and models\nChance to practice & extend own coaching skills during the workshop by coaching colleagues on real issues\nDeveloping the skills to run a similar session for colleagues in your ICS region\n\nIt will be very coaching focused – we will discuss coaching as a tool for appraisers to use and give you chance to coach and be coached. \nThe webinar will be split into 2 parts – the first where you experience the materials and the second where we share details of how to facilitate a similar session with small groups of colleagues in your locality. \n\nThere are 30 places on the webinar which will be offered to GP Appraisers who meet the following criteria: \n\nminimum of 3 years’ experience as a GP Appraiser\nAttended the “Coaching for More Effective Conversations” modules in the last 18 months (run virtually by Fiona Moore and Nat Brown) or have attended other Coaching and Mentoring training and have some experience of coaching others \nCommit to using the webinar materials to deliver a minimum of 2 of the same coaching skills workshops for small groups of GP Appraisers in your ICS area\n\nPlaces will be allocated to ensure a good geographic spread across each ICS footprint – (approx. 6 spaces per ICS area of London) \n\nThere will be a mechanism for paying you as a ‘Senior Appraiser’ for delivering two sessions to other appraisers within your ICS .
