DESCRIPTION:Springboard is a world-renowned work and personal development course for women. \nRunning for over 30 years and delivered in over 40 countries\, Springboard is a life changing experience for women who want to be more assertive and take control of their personal and professional lives. \nSpringboard will provide the tools for women to be the best they can be. By empowering\nand helping them to enhance their own skills and abilities\, participants will learn to challenge\npower and inequality\, while also building assertiveness\, a positive image\, and give them a\nvoice. \nThe course gives participants the time to reflect\, share and most importantly\, set achievable\ngoals for now and the future. \n  \n\nProviding the tools which can be\napplied to real-life situations\nimmediately.\nFor participants to set and achieve\ntheir own goals.\nPutting the learning into practice.\nFor participants to assert\nthemselves.\nSelf-reflection and group work with\nan interactive approach.\nFor participants to make decisions and\ntake actions based on their core\nvalues.\nInspirational guest speakers – to\nchallenge participants’ thinking and to\ninspire or motivate them.\nNetworking – support from\nparticipants to other participants\,\nmentors\, and other networking groups.\n\n  \nPlease see timetable for the programme: \nAll sessions will take place at 9:30am to 1pm \nWorkshop 1 Part 1         Tuesday 14th March 2023        9:30am – 1pm \nWorkshop 1 Part 2        Wednesday 15th March 2023 9:30am-1pm \nWorkshop 2 Part 1        Tuesday 18th April 2023          9:30-1pm \nWorkshop 2 Part 2        Wednesday 19th April 2023  9:30am-1pm \nWorkshop 3 Part 1         Tuesday 16th May 2023          9:30am-1pm \nWorkshop 3 Part 2        Wednesday 17th May 2023   9:30am-1pm \nWorkshop 4 Part 1        Tuesday 13th June 2023        9:30am-1pm \nWorkshop 4 Part 2        Wednesday 14th June 2023 9:30-1pm \n  \nThis programme is open to all women working in the NHS at Band 4\, Band 5 and Band 6. \nAs part of the application process\, you will be asked to answer 3 questions to assess your suitability for the role. \nDeadline for applying is January 8th 2023. Due to the limited number of spaces available\, preferences will be given to those who we believe would benefit most from this programme. \nBooking Conditions \nThis programme is offered free of charge to participants. SUMMARY:The Power of Compassion for Inclusion: 3 workshops designed to help leaders release their potential to make a difference
DESCRIPTION:Our innate instinct to show compassion when we see others in distress or difficulty is an important part of what makes us human. At the same time\, it is also humanly possible to be selective with our compassion resulting in inequitable treatment and outcomes. This can be due to a range of different factors\, and during these workshops we explore\, what can impede compassion and also ways to expand our innate compassion to contribute to building inclusive mindsets\, practices and cultures. Learning how simple everyday changes can make a real difference. \nWho’s it for?\nThis session is aimed at leaders working in the London region. \nRegister your place\nTo obtain a place\, please click on the specific workshop you wish to attend below. \nWhen you complete the registration form\, please block this session out in your diary. How self-compassion and resilience are important vehicles for change\, helping us to stay present in uncomfortable situations\, to find our voice and contribute to building inclusive cultures. \n\n\n\n\nWorkshop 2 – Compassionate People – Collective  Wellbeing and Allyship – Monday 20th March 2023 1:30pm to 3:00pm\nBook your place here\nThis workshop provides those attending an opportunity to better understand the roots of direct\, indirect and systemic racism and other forms of discrimination and how to relate this within their personal and working lives. It will also cover simple and practical ways to support others and build inclusive practices that ultimately positively impact on everyone’s wellbeing. \nWorkshop 3 – Compassionate Cultures – Action for Change – Wednesday 22nd March 2023 10:30am to 12:00pm\nBook your place here\nThis workshop provides those attending an opportunity to understand how microaggressions and microinvalidations can manifest and their impact. To understand how to support change at different levels\, whether for an individual\, group or organisation.  And how different approaches and practices can contribute to building an inclusive culture and make a positive difference. \nWorkshop Facilitator – Byron Lee\n\n\n\nByron has a background in health and social care\, community and higher education\, leadership development; and has spent the past 30 years supporting individuals\, teams\, communities and organisations build supportive and inclusive practices\, systems and cultures. His passion is supporting individuals\, teams and organisations weave together different sources of knowledge\, wisdom and practice to support collaborative learning and change. His current work involves supporting change agents develop a compassionate and inclusive approach in their work so they can better engage with real world complexity and make a difference.
