DESCRIPTION:Can you be authentic and be a successful leader?  How does this play out for black leaders in British organisations? Why should this matter to all of us? \nIn this interactive session\, Dr Barbara Banda shares her ground breaking research on successful black British leaders across a range or organisations and industries. She explores what her research tells us about the choices that black leaders make if they are to achieve positions of leadership. Participants attending the session will discuss the implications of this research for creating an inclusive culture within the NHS. \nAll are welcome. Be part of the conversation. \nAbout the Presenter \nBarbara Banda is the founder of the leadership consultancy\, Barbara Banda Consulting\, which works with Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies. As Professor of Practice and Educator in Leadership\, Inclusive Leadership and Change at Duke Corporate Education\, Rotterdam School of Management and Hult Ashridge\, she is passionate about connecting leadership education to the realities of daily life in organisations. Barbara holds five degrees\, including a D.Phil from the University of Oxford that explored the importance of connecting management education to the workplace\, which informs her approach with clients. She is black British of Jamaican heritage. \n  \nPlatform: Please note this event will take place virtually via MS Teams. \nSpaces are limited to 25 places\, places are given on a first come first serve basis.
