At an EMCC corporate roundtable event\, however\, it became clear from the discussion amongst the senior HR and L&D people in the room that many large organisations do not exploit the potential of using coaching and mentoring to support wider organisational strategies and change programmes. \nIn this workshop\, Jan Bowen-Nielsen will explore how to take coaching and mentoring from ‘just’ a set of discrete 1:1 conversations\, supporting individual development\, to a managed set of goal orientated interventions across a number of people in an organisation. \nWhat will it cover? \nKey areas \nThe challenge of making coaching have organisational and strategic impact \n\nHow to support organisational objectives through systemic coaching\nCoaches’ contribution to change programmes\nThe Coaching Learning Network\nThe demands on coaches and mentors\nApplying coaching programmes in your workplace to achieve organisational objectives\n\nWhy should I attend? \nOutcome \n\nThe attendees will be inspired by the increased contribution coaching can have for their organisation\nThey will gain an understanding of the challenges and explore how to overcome these in their own organisation\n\nWhat will the participant learn by attending? \n\n How Coaching and Mentoring can be used to achieve Organisational Objectives\nHow coaching goals can be linked to achieve both organisational goals and personal\ndevelopment\nHow to align and coordinate the coaching conversations to ensure the whole is greater than the sum of the individual conversations\nThe challenges for coaching programme managers\nThe demands such an approach place on the coaches and mentors involved\n\nHow can the learning be applied? \nThe workshop includes a number of exercises and a session at the end\, exploring how\nthe participants can apply their learning back in their own organisational context \nHow will it run? \nThe workshop includes a number of exercises and a session at the end\, exploring how the\nparticipants can apply their learning back in their own organisational context \nWho will present? \nJan Bowen-Nielsen has 15 years successful senior management experience from blue-chip corporations in the UK\, Denmark and USA\, including a CEO role in an international US-based organisation\, and 15 years as an executive coach and consultant. Jan has particular expertise in change leadership and building high performing leadership teams\, both from executive and consultancy roles. \nJan is the founder of Quiver Management\, a coaching centred consultancy at the cutting edge of using coaching within organisations to support change and increase performance in large corporate and public-sector organisations. \nJan has been on the Advisory Board of EMCC UK and regularly speaks at industry events.
