You will also be notified when we release new dates for this programme.   \nWho is this programme for?   \nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.   \nThis programme is suitable for those working in management roles within health and care and is open to leaders at all levels.  \nBenefits of the programme  \nParticipation in the programme will enable you to:  \n\nconsider personal leadership style and challenges \nimprove productivity and performance \nstrengthen manager/employee relationships \nunderstand and lead change \nexplore collaboration and system working \nhave the headspace to work through challenges and opportunities related to your leadership role \nreflect on and develop the collaborative\, compassionate and inclusive leadership skills that are key to success \nincrease personal insight\, enabling you to build your confidence\, build on your talents and play to your strengths\nincrease understanding of personal resilience and how to deepen it.\n\nAbout the facilitator/s  \nThe Building a Coaching Culture programme will be facilitated by the 3D Coaching team:  \n3D Coaching has been delivering coaching skills training since 2003. All our trainers are working coaches and we teach you the least you need to know to be able to coach well.  \nIn 2020\, the material drawn on to support the delivery of this programme was published by McGraw Hill as ‘Simplifying Coaching’ and is recognised around the world as a core text for coaching at work and coaching professionals.  \nWhat previous participants say  \n“It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be an all or nothing thing. It’s an incremental approach and [you] can start to introduce the coaching approach into your conversations in lots of different ways. And it doesn’t have to be that that whole conversation is a coaching one\, but that you are using elements of what we are learning. It’s part of our toolkit now and making us think differently about how we might have some of our conversations.”   \n“This course seemed unique in its focus on simplicity and practice\, with regular feedback – instead of coming out of it thinking with practice this will be really useful\, but then forgetting to practice to embed it. I am already using it and it is becoming second nature to me.”  \n“Definitely do less. To achieve more. Because it doesn’t make you a worse manager. It actually makes you a better manager”  \nListen to how physio Ben Jeeves is using a coaching style in his work with patients.  \nJoining the Building a Coaching Culture programme – What you need to know  \n\nCoaching is simply a conversation where someone feels heard and gets new insights into their own stuff. This makes a coaching style useful in many different kinds of conversations. \nWe are developing and refining skills. This is experiential learning. There is no back row. \nEveryone will give and receive coaching up to 8 times in small groups – so you will need to come ready to learn\, think your own things through and contribute to the learning of others. \nYou will need to be fully present and able to fully focus in every session – cameras on \n\n\nThis way of working can feel very weird. 95% of people get it by the end of the course and for some it is a steeper learning curve and a much more rewarding journey than they were anticipating. \nThere is no written work or reading. You will need to watch a video between each live session. This is a core part of the learning. You can access the learning portal through your smartphone\, tablet\, work or home computer – or a combination. \nIf 3D wonder by the end of the programme if this way of working is for you\, we will talk to you about that. \nThere is no expectation from 3D that you will become a coach. Many people don’t. They just have better conversations as part of a more collaborative culture in the organisation. If you want to become a coach\, this is the first step! \nAttendance certificates will only be issued for delegates who have completed the whole course and watched all the videos. \n\n\nTo support ongoing development of Leadership Academy offers\, we ask that as part of your participation in this programme\, you engage with our course evaluation. This involves completing two short surveys\, one before and one after the programme. Your feedback is invaluable\, it provides us with insights into your experiences of our programmes and informs us of any future needs. All responses to our surveys will be anonymous and totally confidential. Any reports will only include consolidated results with no reports at an individual level.  \n\nHow to book your place   \nYour booking is not confirmed until you have received a confirmation email. SUMMARY:Rising Stronger From Mental Health To Mental Wealth
DESCRIPTION:Rising Stronger is a “follow up” from the “Art of being brilliant” workshop which you can find here… \nFrom mental health to mental wealth \nThe world has moved on and so must our thinking and behaviours.\nThis session is absolutely not about challenging you to up your game or work harder\, it’s about nudging you to remember who you are at your best. That’s not only good for you. It creates positive ripples that impact on your family\, your team and patients.\nBouncing back is one thing\, bouncing forward is quite another. \nRISING STRONGER has individual and team resilience at its core. \n \nYour wellbeing 6-pack \nRISING STRONGER is built around a wellbeing and resilience ‘6-pack’: \n1. Adaptability: With the new normal in charge\, it’s important to be able to unlearn and relearn. 2021 will be challenging\, so you may as well learn a mindset to match\n2. The power of NOW: The best way to inoculate yourself against stress is to calm your thinking. Therefore\, we include a smidgeon of mindfulness like you’ve never heard it before\n3. Words create worlds: It’s so easy to slide back into old habits. We introduce a few words that will help you to rethink your thinking\n4. Drop the guilt: A recurring theme of all our training is to do less and be more. To reboot\, it’s often a matter of switching off and back on again. The same principle also applies to human beings\n5. Impact: We’re all superheroes pretending to be normal. Pants on the outside is a fashion faux pas so\, instead\, RISING STRONGER is about rediscovering your mojo\n6. Getting over it: We all carry mental baggage and it ain’t half easy to develop a habit of grumbling. To have your best year ever\, you need to learn to let go\nOur programmes are based on the research findings of Dr Andy Cope. Andy flipped psychology and instead of looking at illness\, he looked at wellness. His Loughborough PhD (the first in the UK) was about employee engagement\, with a specific focus on elevated states of wellbeing. Andy examined those at the top of the wellbeing spectrum (at Art of Brilliance\, we call them the ‘2-percenters’\, the small group of staff who are flourishing) and sought to answer 3 questions: \n– Who are the 2-percenters?\n– What are they doing that allows them to flourish?\n– What can we learn from them that we might apply to the wider staffing population\, so they might\nflourish too? \nOur programmes take in the wider areas of Positive Psychology (purpose\, strengths\, resilience\, self-care\, etc)\, but Andy’s original research provides the DNA of our portfolio. This gives our programmes a strong academic grounding\, but our ‘uniqueness’ actually comes from bringing the messages to life through humour\, story-telling and common-sense principles. \nWho is this session for: \nOpen to colleagues\, clinical and non-clinical\, those who have an interest in leadership and those in a leadership or management roles.  We would highly recommend that you will have completed The Art of being Brilliant training in advance of this session. \nThis session will be facilitated by Andy Cope \n \nAbout Andy: Andy is a qualified teacher\, wellbeing expert and ‘recovering academic’.
