Coaching EMCC CPD Event – Positive Psychology Coaching
Target Audience: Coach practitioner, Senior Practitioner, Master Practitioner (Please note this session is only for Coaches on the London Leadership Academy, Coaching Register)

What is this event about?
This session introduces a coach (either practitioner or Leader) to Positive Psychology Coaching (PPC), a theoretical coaching perspective that is evidence-based and can be easily integrated with other coaching approaches. This introductory session will provide:
- An evidence-based framework for positive psychology coaching practice that can be integrated with other approaches both 121 and team.
- Knowledge of key positive psychology theories that PPC applies.
- Knowledge and practice of the most common interventions used in PPC.
- An opportunity to build awareness of current wellbeing.
- A space for reflection to integrate learning and consider further related development opportunities.
- An approach for encouraging both individuals and teams to flourish (achieve optimal functioning).

Why should I attend?
Participants will have learnt about the theoretical perspective of Positive Psychology Coaching and have practiced some of its key interventions. The session will encourage reflection and the integration of learning into the participant’s own coaching practice. Each participant will also be able to baseline their own wellbeing, identify their top character strengths and consider their own development opportunities (to reach their own potential and optimal functioning – flourishing) using an evidence-based
framework.
How will it run?
This session will be a blend of activity – short presentations on relevant theory and interventions (knowledge); individual and group exercises (practical application); reflection and learning integration (ongoing practice and development).
Who will present?
Ivan Beaumont is an executive coach (ILM Level 7), leadership team coach (TCS Diploma) and coaching supervisor (CSA Diploma). He has over 20 years’ experience as an internal coach in large corporates, alongside a breadth of roles in Information Technology. Today, Ivan is director of Mélange Coaching and specializes in leadership team coaching, integrated with positive psychology coaching. That said, Ivan is systemic eclectic and hence utilizes a breadth of theoretical perspectives in service of his clients. Ivan is a member of EMCC, AC, Henley School of Coaching and the Global Supervisors Network. He is accredited in the use of ECR (Emotional Capital) and PROPHET (Profiling) tools. He completed an MBA in 1995.
Ivan’s top 3 character strengths are Hope , Leadership and Creativity. These explain his strong personal value of Growth in himself and others (including the coaching profession).
