About the Programme
The 8-month Brilliant Leaders programme is an innovative talent development programme for colleagues from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Combining taught modules, support & challenge groups, and guest speakers. The programme aims to level the playing field to provide better outcomes for those that attend. The programme includes support for managers and sponsors, equipping them to unlock the potential of all of their staff and be effective allies.
Please note this programme is aiming at staff at band 7
Topics covered include: Authenticity, Identity & Purpose, Effective Communication, Personal Brand & Self Promotion, Leveraging your network and Managing Upward and Career Planning.
Eligibility Criteria and Commitment Required
Letter of commitment required from your manager to commit to supporting you through this programme which includes: –
- Statement of recommendation for you to attend as well as commitment to release you to attend all sessions outlined below
- Attending pre and post manager/sponsor programme webinar 1.5 hours

In order to successfully complete the programme you are expected to attend and complete the programme in full. Please hold the dates in your diary whilst the application/shortlisting process is taking place.
Who will be facilitating?

Cancellation: This programme is free to NHS Staff However, participants will be liable for the full cost of their place on the programme (£1000) should they cancel their secured place or fail to attend events, regardless of the notice period provided. Charges won’t apply if the event is cancelled by the organiser.
